Flying in to Ashcroft 
(1) PPR by telephone or email. Minimum of £250,000 third party insurance required. 
(2) Ensure you have had experience of operating from grass rwys of approx 500m.
(3) Joining proceedures ('Circuits') are generally to the SW. Not below 800ft AAL
(4) Transmit standard radio calls on 122.52 Mhz (the ATIS will respond intermittently)
(5) After landing please ensure you go up in to the Tower to Pay Fees and Book-in

Runway 31: Not drained and will be soft in very wet weather
(mainly in Winter)
Runway 30:
Primarily used for Take-off when RW31 is too soft or closed
Runway 27: Drained surface but beware of slight upslope when taking off to the west

Summer Warnings: Long grass outside the mown areas (about 'knee high')

 RW27/09 is drained, if you are landing / backtracking on RW27/09 in winter. 
and your a/c weighs more than 500kg... dont deviate from the rwy until you reach a hard surface

(2) TORA on RW27 is temporary reduced to 500m until April

General Information

 

Defaulting Aircraft
Ashcroft Airfield has 24hr CCTV surveilance. Arrivals are always recorded.

All landing fees go towards the maintenance of the airfield. These fees are kept at a reasonable level but still some pilots do not pay them. If you are one of these people, reluctantly your details will be published below until the fees have been paid.

Fuel: Super Unleaded Petrol now available. This is a self service facility (delivered with a hose & nozzle, just like a Garage forecourt). Call  07977-065780 or 07977-074783 for unlock code to the Fuel 'House' (see diagram above). The instructions are on the inside.
